Leaf Day Boys It’s leaf day boys In the back of the yard Gotta put your head...down You got the grief from the girls From the night before You get the runaround It’s the daydream noise in the back of your head Left ya holding the bag And the plan for tonight Is to try it again And get away with it A Saturday chore Is cold water Thrown on the fire Of a hopeful Friday heist Go in for the score Like a good marauder Much to admire So much to sacrifice So it’s leaf day boys In the back of the yard Going to be a long one And the thief of this time Gonna make you think hard Get the dirty work... done A Saturday chore Is cold water Thrown on the fire Of a hopeful Friday heist Go in for the score Like a good marauder Much to admire So much to sacrifice Yeah yeah Break the glass Take the jewel From the fool Who would lower His guard Yeah! yeah! yeah! uh! uh! It’s leaf day boys In the back of the yard Gotta put your head...down You got the grief from the girls From the night before You get the runaround A Saturday chore Is cold water Thrown on the fire Of a hopeful Friday heist Go in for the score Like a good marauder Much to admire So much to sacrifice Yeah yeah It’s leaf day, boys! Worried Mind Melt Away I get a worried mind From time to time It just gets away It falls back in line Falls right back in line When I think of you again You’re somewhere in the clouds Or maybe somewhere else And my worried mind It just melts away We use to sit outside Watch the planes go by Dream the day away Yeah, we would laugh a lot And make love a lot Sweet memory I’ve got And now you’re in the clouds Or maybe somewhere else And my worried mind It just melts away It’s been fractured I’ve been tortured But I’m trying to get around it And I get traction It’s my fortune With your light and love Surrounding me Now you’re in the clouds Or maybe somewhere else And my worried mind It just melts away We would walk the streets Put our world at peace Spend the day this way Yeah, we would laugh a lot And make love a lot Sweet memory I’ve got You’re somewhere in the clouds Or maybe somewhere else Making my worried mind Melt away Making my worried mind Melt away Words and Music - Marc Teamaker ©2020

Spin The Bottle Sometimes When things are right I can feel your warm breath Whispering In my ear that tonight It’s going to be fine Still I gotta spin the bottle Kick the can down the road Whispering I know that you’re keeping me steady Everything Is going to be all right Tonight Sometimes When the fear creeps in I can feel you tugging On my sleeve Snapping me Out of all the worry and fright Still I gotta spin the bottle Kick the can down the road Gotta keep my hand on the throttle Keep on going with the flow When I was a child I told my mama I’d never be alone As long as I had myself But it’s not true I still need you! Still I gotta spin the bottle Kick the can down the road Gotta keep my hand on the throttle Keep on going with the flow Whispering I know that you’re keeping me steady Everything Is going to be all right Tonight Sometimes When things are right I can feel your warm breath Whispering In my ear that tonight It’s going to be fine Still I gotta spin the bottle Kick the can down the road Gotta keep my hand on the throttle Keep on going with the flow

Hole In the Sun Oh look what they’ve done They put a hole in the sun The warmth has been turned down It’s colder than cold now But the bill has gone up I Have a hole in my head From what has been said Your stomach’s been shot through ‘Cause the moonshine they sold you Is all full of lead Hungover and lost I walked out to the frost And you know it’s bad enough The days are getting shorter And on top of that We get the high hat From charlatan fiends Who’ve stolen our dreams In short order Oh see what they do They try to tell you it’s true That he is a bad man While they steal all your freedom From right under you Hungover and lost I walked out to the frost And you know it’s bad enough The days are getting shorter And on top of that We get the high hat From charlatan fiends Who’ve stolen our dreams In short order Oh look what they’ve done They put a hole in the sun The warmth has been turned down It’s colder than cold now But the bill has gone up Words and Music By Marc Teamaker ©2020

Been a Long Time Been a long time that I’ve been Living without your love Stayed inside and outside Of this push and shove And being in this city ain't all that it’s cracked up to be When you’re not here with me Now they’re trying to take away Our heart and soul Freedom’s in decline As they take more control And being in this life Ain't all that it’s cracked up to be If you’re not here with me. The fall is coming It’s a long long long way down To my winter coat I bow And the plows are lying in wait But for now I’ll just pour a cup And think of all the days, love When I was in your warm arms With the fire ablaze. Been a long time that I’ve been Living without your love Stayed inside and outside Of this push and shove And being in this city ain't all that it’s cracked up to be When you’re not here with me If I can make it to spring That would be a thing of beauty And this cold goes right Through me Autumn is on us The brilliant colors jog the memory A reminder to stock up And get me at least to the summer days But for now I’ll just pour another one Think of all the nights When I was in your warm arms With the fire ablaze Been a long time that I’ve been Living without your love Stayed inside and outside Of this push and shove And being in this city ain't all that it’s cracked up to be When you’re not here with me Been a long time that I’ve been Living without your love Stayed inside and outside Of the push and shove And being in this town ain't all that it’s cracked up to be When you’re not here with me Now they’re trying to take away Our heart and soul Freedom’s in decline As they take more control And being in this life ain’t all that it’s cracked up to be If you’re not here with me. Been a long time that I’ve been Living without your love Stayed inside and outside Of the push and shove And being in this town ain't all that it’s cracked up to be When you’re not here with me It’s been a long time without your love, child I stayed inside and outside Stayed inside And being in this life ain’t all that it’s cracked up to be When you’re not here with me. Gloves Come Off Too many questions Will see some lies In the answers That you search for Make no corrections Black out no lines For the slander Will be worth more Ah! Now the gloves come off And no one tries to Hide it anymore Give us the business We’ll give it back As we choose up sides In the school yard All your revisions Add up to smack It’s just suicide On the scorecard Ah! Now the gloves come off And your knuckles drop And drag on the floor Lest it be the end of us Our last stand So much at hand No fallback plan You ask no questions You get in line For the poppet show That you hope for Can’t feel the digits Crawl up your spine If you were digging You’d end up in China Still All the gloves come off As no one tries to Hide it anymore Now all the gloves come off No one tries to hide it anymore Hide it anymore Words and music by Marc Teamaker ©2021

One Little Spark Oh my sister said I can’t make any sense of it One little spark now And they’re burning the house down Turning like dogs On command By the junk show darling Talking heads One little bark now And the copy cats cry And we all start Trading in lies for the truth in disguise Is no truth at all It’s no surprise How we’ve come to despise The excuse to fall in line Get up, mother said Before you come down You’ll have made your bed One little spark now And they’re burning the town down Turning to Trading in lies for the truth in disguise Is no truth at all It’s no surprise How we’ve come to despise The excuse to fall in line And there’s no looking back Over your shoulder now To the playground In the swing of the drummer’s sound How freely you danced around Trading in lies for the truth in disguise Is no truth at all It’s no surprise How we’ve come to despise The excuse to fall in line Repeat Words and Music by Marc Teamaker ©2021

KT KT Talk to me, girl My lady Of this and that world So many words left Swirling around I still hear your voice now Just like the first time It knocks me out Slow and sweet child KT Talk with me, girl My lady Of this and that world All of the things said come echoing back It’s your string of pearls I could not undo them As I trace you neck Asleep or awake KT Words and Music by Marc Teamaker © 2021

September Eighteenth Am I really all that I could be Am I? Am I anything like he was I know I have my moments But they’re so far and few between Today is not a day that we just remember It’s the kind of day that we want To try to point ourselves in a new direction Am I really all? Am I really all? Am I really all that I could be? The man he had it all So much self control I don’t really know If I have it in me But let’s make a move To get to a better way With all of our strength, love, and all out Integrity Am I really all that I could be Am I? Am I anything like he was I know I have my moments But they’re so far and few between Today is not a day that we just remember It’s the kind of day that we want To try to point ourselves in a new direction Am I really all? Am I really all? Am I really all that I could be? Like a waterfall He poured into my soul You’d think that it might show I I had it in me But I will be moved to get to a better way With all of my strength, love ,and all out Integrity He was born into the world As a king And then he left it Just as he came in Just as he came in Am I really all that I could be Am I? Am I anything like he was I know I have my moments But they’re so far and few between Today is not a day that we just remember It’s the kind of day that we want To try to point ourselves in a new direction Words and Music by Marc Teamaker ©2021

about

The juxtaposition of working in the yard and a teenager’s pursuit of the opposite sex is admittedly strange. But this is where a mind can roam during a period of isolation. At least this one anyway. Talking with my brothers and reminiscing about our early teens when, usually on a cold rainy November Saturday morning, we were tasked with raking and bagging leaves in our yard. Never a pleasant event, especially when you’ve been stood up by a fourteen year old girl the Friday night before. Of course that never stopped me from going right back out there on Saturday night.

And so this it where it begins.
